this is made of mahogany and maple inlays and splines—-has brusso stop hinges—-red felt in trays——with many coats of sprayed on poly—-sanded between each coat—-made for a friend to give to a friend as a going away gift

That is one beautiful looking box, really like the legs. I may try adding something like that to one of my boxes.

I just love all the boxes I see on this sight… I myself have just started getting into building boxes(last couple of years) none as fancy as I have seen here but doing my best. I was a finish/trim carpenter for a while and do some side work still but realy love working out of my shop. (when I have the time)
