My daughter and I got busy in the shop once spring hit. And as I said in another thread she is only 2 1/2 and she has a dam good swing with her hammer. She has assisted me with glue and nails for these projects. The first one is our mini picket fence for our garden. For only a 6 ft fence board in cost it comes out looking worth alot more. And the second project are some flower beds that we built about a month or two ago and we have our own little seedlings growing in them. Chloe does a very good job in helping daddy water them everyday. Just to prevent weathering on these I sprayed them down with tompsons waterproofing mixed with golden mahogany stain to keep its colour. These really highlight your yard and I get many compliments on them.

Hi Mark, that is what makes good Dads, spending time on things you both enjoy. That is a beautiful project and the lovely flowers are the bonus. You keep up being a good Dad, your children will always have wonderful memories of their childhood.
Thanks for sharing this lovely family time Mark

Very nice and what a wonderful time spending with your daughter. Mine used to have fun with me when she was younger to. Built a few things together then she turned into a teenager. Well shop time with the daughter went to sleep time for her. But I did get her back in the shop recently to help build some Adirondack chairs recently and she really enjoyed the time. So did I. So enjoy while you can and hopefully she will enjoy time in your shop for many years to come.

Cher….I love being a dad due to the fact that I miss all the fun things I did with my dad. I wanna make it just as good for her if not better! I don’t understand 90% of younger fathers nowadays who just bail out on their wife n kids. That shows a very degrading cowardness about them. I’d be nothing without my father
