As mentioned in my previous post on making a 12’‘ disk sander, here are pictures from a similar 12” disk sander I made few years ago for a friend of mine. Different or similar? This one was entirely made out of 3/4’’ thick MDF, including the disk.

More pictures on this page of my blog.

Best,

Serge

I have a spare motor. Now I think I can put it to good use. Thanks for posting.

You have done it again!
You are going to love that one.
Creative, now add a t-track so you can use the mitre from the tablesaw.
Best thoughts,

i keep seeing a tilting table

maybe keep this one for square
and a cut away one for angles

just a thought

@Mads: I already love that one (I mean the female friend for who I built this disk sander few years ago) :-)

@patron: I have in mind an auxilliary tilting table that will be used on the disk sander as well as my drill press. Thanks for stopping by.

Best,

Serge

I made one about like that, made a closed box on the bottom, to give me a place to stick a vacuum hose. It sure tosses the dust otherwise.
