Last April was my grand daughters sixth birthday. She is into the American Girl Doll thing, so I made her this rocking chair for her doll. It is made from walnut scraps and utilizes true mortise and tenon joinery. I also made a poster bed for her doll. The other picture shows not only the little rocker, but my grand daughter in a small rocker my children used. I’m sitting in a rocking chair owned by my grand father. I thought it was a cute progression of sizes.

Nice job on the chair. I know she will cherish it for a long time.
My three year old grandaughter really likes her bed I built. Now I need to start one for her younger sister.

lol – I didn’t realize it wasn’t a full sized rocker until I read your post…very nice, now your granddaughter needs one so she and her doll will match. Then of course the adults will all want one…
