Okay…These were just very simple projects but I gotta post everything. I had originally built a couple of these for my living room but it turned out to be a mothers day gift along the process of finishing one. Simple oak shelves and I had drilled 1/8” holes for where the candles sit so they don’t surprisingly move on me and I had drilled 2 pilot holes to fasten them to a wall. And to hide the screws I cut a few plugs to cover em up. Awesome gift and a cheap price. The first pic is a different one from the other two pics. The first one is a mission oak stain and the other one is a walnut stain. Perfect colours for an earth tone setting.

Hi Mark, glad to see you’re back. I love the floating shelves and the stones gives it a Zen look.
Mom must be thrilled with her gift.

Thanks for sharing this lovely idea Mark.

I’m a big fan of “simple.” These are great.

thx alot everyone

Kenn n freddy: Ya it was a very simple project….Sometimes the projects that you just whip up and barely think about come out better than others.

Patron: I had way too much going on this yr to take the timber framing course I wanted. I had my 2nd term for my carpentry apprenticeship and didn’t make enough to take the course. So now I’m just working on n off with the carpenters union. I just finished renovating a wal-mart and am waiting for the next call to work.
