Pine Bathroom Vanity

Here is a bathroom vanity we finished this week…The idea was to design a vanity that would be an accent piece in a western style decor, but it would fit many styles… It is made entirely of White Pine and features frame and raised panel construction… It is 36” tall… The finish is a base coat of a water based yellow stain, topped with an oil based antiquing stain… The final coats were dewaxed shellac and a water based polyurethane…

The hardest part of this piece was to do all the work, get it just right, and cut a big hole in the top! It just don’t seem right!

It’s funny, but the more I look at it the more I like it! I was gonna say, I thought it looked like there was some kind of antiquing agent at work here. That’s a tall vanity, too.
