13" Bowls

Here are 2 13” walnut and sassafras bowls.
The blank was made by stacking a sassafras blank on top of a walnut blank and cutting one of the curves on the bandsaw. Then the 2 blanks were unstacked and 1/2 the top blank switched with 1/2 the bottom blank and re-glued. I continued this process of cutting and gluing all around the blank.
Once I had the spiral “cutting board” blank I then cut rings using the process described here:

Great project, I like the way you take a simple process and with an artistic outlook make a wonderful
and different bowl, I am going to have to get out in the workshop and play some more now. Thank
you for sharing.
