Candle Holder : Purple Ripple
Had some timbers in the shed that had interesting Gum Vains & Cross saw marks !!
Wanted to enhance the beautiful textures of it, so once I routed ,bored holes for candles & sanded, I spray painted the entire candle holder black, once dry , I then lightly sanded edges & sanded the top, thensoft wash my art paint onto the timber . Hot Pink & Purple !
I was amazed how great the effect was when I finished it with spray laquer !!
When finished , Wife :) immedietly said “Im having that one”
was hoping to make some good ca$h with this one :(
But soon realised that “Domestic Harmony” is priceless !!!! LoL
so Wife got !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LoL

The Timber is Alpine Ash
I have the good fortune of working at a Timber Mill & see some interesting timbers come my way from time to time , the more split & ruggered the better !!!
Have been honing my finishes for different effects !!
