My niece had me fix 2 end tables that had belonged to her father. Her father was murdered and these are the only things she has that belonged to him. It made me feel good that she wanted me to do them instead of a professional.
I took a grinder to the top and legs and gave it a marble looking effect. Stained it, Woodburned the vines, drew the guardian angel with charcoal, applied the drawing and polyurethane to top.
Hope you like it. I would add the other table but it has his full name on it. It is a memorial style table. Very nice also.

The first picture is finished table.
Second picture is of both tables before I started.
Third picture is after I took grinder after the table.

Dates on all pictures are wrong this was just recently done sorry about this. :)

Wow. looks good. Have to say, you’re pretty brave doing a job like that, I’d be petrified of stuffing it up.

Thanx forkboy. I was very nervous about doing it. But I had to put my worries aside and think of it as a job and put all feelings aside. I am the type of person that feels that if I do something I put 100% into it. Thanx again :)

Your work is quite unique. I would not know where to begin when it comes to wood burning (unless of course it is in a fireplace). I can only admire and respect the artistic talent that you have. It is like being able to sing- some can do it and others should leave it alone. I am in the latter category of course (of both areas too I might add).

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Thank you motthunter,... I do too :)
Thanx again sbryan I really appreciate it. I never took art past 5th grade in school. It has all been by will, and trial and error that I have gotten to where I am at. Also if I could get a good woodburning equipment things might be a little easier. Right now I am using a cheap walmart woodburner $15 :)) LOL I am sure you are very talented in alot of ways :)
