Been a little while since my last post but thats only because i have been a bit busy makin’ sawdust in my shop. Did manage to make a few cutting boards, rope shovel in progress, and made this ladder truck which is already sold. Going to deliver it in the next few days. Thanks for checking it out.

From a 35 yr veteran Fire Fighter: Great Truck!! Great workmanship! Your attention to detail is wonderful! Are you also a FF? One other question though, what the heck is a ‘rope shovel’?

thank you for the comments everyone, I’m retired from the fire dept Dennis. It was a great career!! the rope shovel was inspired by Dorielwooden, saw one made by him and just had to try to make one, it will not be as impressive as the one he made but i’m going to give it a try. I will post a pic of a rope shovel to give you an idea of what one is, I had no idea either till i saw Dorielwoodens. Chief, no plans for this one. I went to a fire station I once worked at and took a bunch of pictures and proceeded from there. The captain of Ladder 2 really liked it so it is now his. a lieutenant on the same truck now also wants one, guess its time to head back to the shop.
Your right Big Tiny, the kid that got it is pretty happy with it altho he is in his mid 40’s.
