Not sure what this is but I had fun making it. Oak handle with walmut and poplar paddle. Now if I can keep mamma from using it on me I’ll be ok.

I REALLY like that. It gives me sort of an idea. I had a cutting board in the clamps and some of the oak decided to do a bit of a dance and warp a bit. Instead of fighting it for a long time trying to straighten it, I decided to plane down the board to about 3/16”. I am thinking I could keep it and maybe later use it for a pickguard in one of my guitar builds, taking it down to the last 4MM when needed and it is more flexible.
Now, I think you may have given me an idea for yet another item I can sell, pizza or oven paddle boards. I know they are usually one piece, but if I can shape an oak handle and get it on the board far enough to make sure it will stay without messing up the integrity of the board, I might have a new product! Taper the front edge…Oven paddle?
