Trying my hand at boxes. Left is maple dwith walnut dovetail keys, center walnut and maple sides with double box joints, right walnut with maple dovetail keys. All tops are from one glue up then cut horizonally with a bandsaw.

These are nice boxes. Before I looked at the posts on this site I really didn’t give boxes the appreciation that they deserve.

The compass design in the lid adds a really nice element to the box.

Very nice. I’ve always found the compass design attractive.

Well, if that is your first attempt at a box, you hit one out of the park. Very nice.

Fine, fine work. How about a brief tutorial on the double box joints on the center box? I’ve thought through how to do that but would like to hear from someone who already has succeeded.
