Inspired by Steve from woodworking for mere mortals, I decided to try to make some earrings for my wife. They aren’t exactly Tiffany, but they aren’t too bad, either. The wood is purpleheart with a single coat of spray lacquer for finish. They were fun to make, but future pairs will be easier once I get that benchtop sander I’ve been wanting :)

G’day….I have a Richard Joyner backplate and it is really fantastic..there are one or two pendents elsewhere on this site. I recently made one using Corian and about to finish one from Aluminium…will post photographs in coming week. Did you use the Jig to make the Earrings…I would assume that it is just a case of reducing the diameter of both the blank and the offset hole. Also I would like to try a Brooch similar to the featured by Ed Davidson over on the IAP site….any comments..
