I saw one similar to this in an optical shop. I liked it so decided to make one.
Not sure what the main wood is as I reclaimed it from a couch left behind in one of our rentals. I have a hard time throwing away anything with quantities of usable wood. I knock it apart, stack it in the wood pile until a project like this comes about. The accent is Zebra wood left over from a project my son did last year. I’m sure the mirror is something I had laying around as well.
In stead of doweling or screwing the upright support from below I did a small sliding dovetail. Finish is oil & wax.
