A new item for my wife’s sewing room. Its height is custom set for her to cut materials. The base design was borrowed from a recent magazine article on bookshelves. Cabinet body is birch plywood; frames and drawer fronts are soft maple. Top is formica.

This is my first attempt at a bank of drawers. They’re mounted with full extension slides – I definitely found the Kreg jigs handy given the face frames on the cabinet! We found some inexpensive trim at Lowes that dressed up the drawer fronts and shelf-side face frame.

Darn you, my wife saw this over my shoulder walking by. She doesn’t even want to change the wood color.

Great job.
