I made this jewelry tray for my daughter. She had chosen it from a copy of Creative Woodworking & Crafts magazine. This is a Shelia Landry design and I had always been wanting to cut one and these and this gave me the opportunity. Normally these are used as jar candle holders but in her case she wanted it to put on her dresser for her jewelry.

Yesterday I posted the sleigh project for my granddaughter (her daughter) and gave it to her for her fifth birthday. Today, for Mothers Day and a belated birthday, I gave her the tray. She said that last night she had told her husband that, “hey where is my tray I asked Dad for”. Little did she know?

Nice work. Sheila’s designs are beautiful and so is your work.

Your Daughter should be rightly proud of her Dad for making her this lovely tray &
(I am sure Shelia would agree )
