Cherry & Maple dresser, inspired by similar projects I’ve seen that were painted.

The drawer front configuration was a last minute design change. Originally it was solid Maple, but it looked too monolithic, so I planed down Cherry boards to 1/2” and copied the lines of the face frame & glued them on

I like this a lot Mike. Really good job with the addition to the drawer faces and overall a refreshing take on a dresser build. Great work and thanks for sharing!!

Hi Mike.

Beautiful job on “the leaning tower of dresser”. If it had been mine, I would have staggered the drawers to give less of a lean to it, but that’s just me…

That is a really cool piece of furniture. I bet everyone who sees that is going to ask about it, and I’m sure you’ll have a story to tell them.

I think that it is the little things that really make this a nice piece. Great job.

Looks great to me. Cool design. I hope you allowed for wood movement somehow between the solid maple and cherry drawer fronts glued together? Otherwise they’ll likely split on you.

Very nice, another one leaning the opposite way would make a great pair.
