This started out as just a personal something that I wanted to do using some walnut I had laying around and some Maple. The leg design started out as a lamp stand/table that i made with Oak, but i liked the way it looked so I used it here. I gave it away today, so it looks like I’m going to have to make another one. There’s a direct top shot here

But it was all just made out of scrap. And he made it in his spare time so there was no labor charges. So $0.00 + $0.00 = $0.00 So he broke even. Ops didn’t build a profit in there. Sorry Obi, you lost money on that deal.
Unless you get a good customer out of it. Then it was out of the advertising budget. Be sure to put that on the income tax form.

Let’s see. this was the guy that gave me $11,000.00 for my shop, bought me a $1,500.00 truck in exchange for a $700 mantel, paid me $160 to build him a flat panel… I’m sure I’ll get his return business.
It’s kinda like advertising
His wife makes $50 per hour so I want her to see all the stuff I make. They also had me make them a 7 sided Tree House for her to read in, with Maple floors, T-111 siding, dual paned windows and ship lap roof. It’s almost water proof
And the checkerboard cost me money. So any sacrifice if it was free isnt really a sacrifice.
And whether it’s a Karmic Law or a Biblical Principle, what you sow, you shall reap, or what goes around, comes around.
