Here is a chest that I made for my God son it is all red oak it uses Rockler hinges that keep the top from closing on it’s own it only needed two but i put three on to be safe. It has a rock hard varnish finsh all over it so he can be as rough as boys can be and it will stand up. He uses it every day and I could not be prouder!

That is a really nicely designed and built toy chest. That will last a lifetime! One lucky little boy!
