Project Information

This was another friend's table and chairs she wanted refurbished. it was her grandmothers dining room set from when she was a child. around 80 years old….oooooold

the wood was slightly rotten in parts. i wish i had taken pictures of the process but i wasnt even thinking at the time.
the legs of the table needed re attaching. lots of clamping, glueing and more clamping to get things set.
Dental pics, dremels, and arthritis are the keys to re-finishing furniture. this project took around 55 hours to complete.

Great job on that table. If is an old one, I'll bet it looks better than brand new. Those "before" pics would have been nice, too.

those 55 hours seemed to take an eternity!!! i really wish i had some before pics, the whole thing was painted over with that hideous "antique" green and white paint job. it had 2 layers of paint and a wonderful layer of some sort of poly finish.

This is beautiful. Is it black or expresso? I like the updated upholstery. It's gorgeous!
