This chair was started by my Amigo (a little Spanish lingo) Doug Roper
http://lumberjocks.com/projects/27888.
I completed it using it as my demonstration chair for an adult ed class I was teaching at Coronado Calif. Several students also completed a Maloof Style rocker. Will post some pics of the class as I can get them.
Chair is black walnut with ebony plugs, rubbed in oil finish and wax.
Hope you like it.

Very nice !
I bought the plans for Maloof low-back chair from Scott Morrisson, I bought the wood to build it but I did not start to work on it yet as I have other projects and I lack several tools that he uses in his video.
Great work anyway ! Makes me wish I could find the time to work on mine.

I noticed this chair in the background of the project you posted a couple of days ago. I wondered if it was yours, and if you were going to post it.
Beautifully done!

I like your chair. It is beautifull.
If you were not 6 hours away from me I would take your class.

Beautiful work elton, That chair looks great. I’m in the process of building one myself but have a few other things cooking at the same time. I hope I can get mine to look as nice as this chair. That walnut is just glowing in those pics!

Congratulations. That is an extraordinary chair. Wonderful lines, beautiful color and character and inviting to sit in. Who could want for anything more except for it to be in my house!
