this is a entertainment stand i built for my girlfriend. the bottom rails are through mortises and have a slight curve to give it some depth. there is a small apron on legs that i used a sliding dovetail to bind the legs together depth wise. the legs are slightly tapered. the bottom shelf has rabits and are doweled using miller dowels. the top is millered doweled as well. i only have the 2x dowels, and when i doweled the bottom shelf into place i only used about half of the dowel. i have to add that the miller dowel system is pretty amazingly simple, and strong. i used birch dowels to offset with the cedar. i took a belt sander and used to damage the wood, gave it a very nice rustic effect. its a mix between 2 of my favorite styles of furniture, rustic and Japanese.

it took me about 12 hours to plan and cut everything. went much faster and with much less frustration than other projects, which made me thoroughly enjoy this one!

Nice work.
I thought an entertainment stand had to have a stripper pole! LOL
