I almost forgot our best friend’s anniversary yesterday, and we stood in their wedding!!! UGH!!! I ran to the shop yesterday, with 2.5 hours to make a gift as quick as possible, with Maple wood from my parents land, which is on the top of a hill, so all the wood either has amazing figuring or splat.
Yes a rough carving, but I am really happy with it as a totem for “love and a harmonious home”. the crown was inspired by bizarre tulips here in Oak Park, IL .. which I have never seen before. In a panic to finish in minutes, I stained the crown yellow with a Sharpie highlighter. Maple wood, leather, rose quartz crystal, and copper wire. ~ enjoy ~ e

Great job, blows my mind you could make that in that amount of time. Wow!
