TV and piano wanted to be in the same place, no matter where I put them in the house.
I made birch plywood cabinets 1.5” thick, faced with poplar, and painted white. All joints are with biscuits. I put red oak facing on the top three shelves with a 22 degree angle except the top 3/8”. The mantle is 1” red oak milled to 4.25 boards. There are four that are biscuited and glued. I used a clear satin finish.
I made the steps next to the unit as well. 1” red oak treads, and apricot slate risers to match the floor.

Great use of space with some storage to boot! Well done.
