I’ve been very quiet on Lumberjocks lately…although I still stop in every week to see what y’all are up to. My silence has not been because I’ve suddenly lost my fondness for woodworking. In truth, just the opposite has happened. I’ve finally begun my own woodworking business…North Country Rustics!!! You can even find my new business on Facebook! I cannot tell you how much fun I’ve been having as I start this business. I’m getting a ton of support. I’m still working on my screen doors and this door was my first door for a local business. The owners of the tree farm were thrilled with the carved details and the sturdiness of the construction. They’ve even offered to sell some of my items in their gift shoppe!

Outstanding! Your own business. Are you still working out of your home workshop? Strange, but I just looked the other day to see how long it’s been since you posted and here you are. I like the new door. I even know where that place is if it’s the Christmas tree place in Sandy Creek area.

Yeah, Hemlock Have is in Sandy Creek. It’s such a fun place to be at the holidays, isn’t it? I didn’t realize it’s been so long since I posted…I guess I was just too busy looking at everybody else’s projects. We are still working out of the basement workshop… right now we’ve got a huge queen size log bed taking up most of it. It’s our first log bed (for sale, almost everyone in the family has one~LOL) but we really struggling to find the right finish for it. I was gonna post it but technically, it’s not a finished project and I’m not sure what forum to post in. Thanks for stopping by. :)
