This is one of my Murphy Wall beds that was completed on 12-12-2007. It was built in our Alpine style with an added shelf at the top, a fold down desk, and bookcases on the sides. The shelf acts as legs when the bed is in the down position. The desk was made to be folded up and out of the way when not in use. I also added acouple of bookcases with wood framed glass doors on the top section and flat panel doors for the lower. The base and crown molding that the customer chose was very simple in design and complemented the overall clean feel of the piece.

This is a nice project. I like the bookcase addition. Is this modular?

It’s modular as in it not a perminate installation. The base molding at the bottom will not allow the bookcases to be used as a stand alone piece as the molding in on two sides only.
