Here is a simple book case I spotted on Fine I stretched the dimensions to suit me and Viola, I’ve got what I feel is a dandy bookcase.
The wood is African Mahogany, the plugs are Black Walnut and the back is luan plywood.
It is finished with MANY coats of Teak oil and three coats of wipe on poly.

Sometimes you just can’t beat good wood and a clean, simple design to show it off.

Nice job!

It’s very nicely done and looks great. As a matter of fact, I wish I had three of them right now. I have two large bookcases in my study right now that I made for my daughter but I have been using them for a couple of years and she is getting them back this weekend. I don’t have time to make bookcases right now because I’m working on my wood carving and cannot stop. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with all of my books.
