The original title for this project was suppose to be, ’A blonde, brunette, and a redhead’. But, as I was in the backyard taking more pictures this morning, our backyard chipmunk came by and stole the show. He managed to stuff 8 almonds into his mouth. I’ve been feeding him from my hand for the past week now. It took a long time (years) for him to get comfortable with me. And now he’s coming around, but still a bit cautious.
Now, back to the bowls, if anyone cares anymore. lol
The two large serving trays are made of maple and jatoba. The small tray is made of walnut. In the first picture you can see my new branding logo I just got a couple of weeks ago. And if you look close enough in the third picture, you can see that I put a gouge in the walnut when I was routing. I’m going to leave it, and call it character. Recently, I made a blog on how I make these.
I’m actually going to keep one of these this time. I’m keeping the jatoba, and maybe the walnut, now that I put a gouge in it. :)

I love chipmunks. Yours are bigger than ours here. I also think this is the first time I’m seeing your logo. It’s one of the best I can recall seeing.

Great projects, great photos, and I like your logo as well. Now if only you can train the chipmunk to sweep the shop.

Ah…your little outdoor shop mate. that’s cool that you can feed him by hand.
I tried that once with a chipmunk that hangs around my pool deck and he bit the shit out of me.
so I keep my distance. bite me once…...$%*#&!!!
Do you have a special press for your logo branding iron? It came out perfect.
I have a hard time getting mine to burn evenly. I have to practice 2-3 times on scrap before I use it on the piece.
