This project is actually my first commision.
The woods are Maple and hemlock with two little pieces of cedar where I came up short in the back.
The dimensions are 18” tall 11.5” deep and 28” long.
The top is spalted Maple finished with danish oil and four coats of wipe on poly.
The base is maple with hemlock in the back and started out with a whitewash finish. As I was about to apply a topcoat of spar varnish the customer called and said “Oh it needs to be brown” Yikes!!
To get the effect I wanted I just watered down some brown latex paint and almost covered up the white. I got the “rustic” look I wanted and HOPEFULLY the brown the customer wanted
