I made this door out of pine and hardwood plywood. It is held together with wood glue. I did the installation as well, which took some work. It was in an older home and the openings are out of square. When I measured the opening I measured the top and bottom, but not the middle. Unfortunately the sides were bowed and I had to do some last second ‘adjusting’ to the door to get it to open freely. The door is solid, and with 4” hinges, it isn’t going anywhere.

Hey Royce, I do this everyday for a living and I just have to tell ya,,,, NICE DOOR MAN!! The S4S sticking gives a clean look to it. I also love the knotty pine styles and rails. What type of joinery did you use, dowels or mortise and tenon? Again, nice work, will be looking for the next three. Try to get a few closer pictures of the so we can see what kind of panel wood it is. Thanks for sharing.

There are no many doors at LJ. This is nice. Thank for sharing. I’m looking forward to the second one.

Thank you to everybody! I used mortise and tenon joinery. The pine is two 1×6’s laminated together, and the panels are 3/4” hardwood plywood on sale at the local lumberyard.

That lami is a good idea for keeping the styles stable and the cost down.
