This is my first G&G side chair. I used African Mahogany . The stain i used was a Gel stain- what a wonderful product to use.. I am awaiting the drop-in seat from the upholsterer. As soon as i have that i will post more photo’s. It took my a long time to design the back splat, changing it many a times, until now – i am happy. I first had it as a solid “tsuba”, but didn’t look proper. The pigs i used is African black wood which i got from a fellow woodworker friend as a gift. The finish i used is a wipe on poly-wax finish. I always wipe on my finish instead of using a brush.

Good work Nollie! What gel stain did you use? I suppose the finish is Woodoc?
