Time to buy a lathe and teach the youngster/and yourself possibly how to turn a bat. It’s less work more fun .However it’s great to see a young lad get into making woodchips have fun laddie. Alistair

It’s great to see a kid of his age doing this instead of playing video games.
Congrats Gramps and his parents for some good upbringing.
Very nice project/bat also Lief. You’ve done an awesome job. I’m not even that good with a plane! :)

Wonderful,

he has done a great job on that bat.
It will be something he will treasure and remember forever.

It is great to pass on the skills to another generation, I cant wait until mine is old enough.

You can tell him that it is a lot better than my first project. Mines was a yucky dolls house
for my wee sister, now a bat would have been miles better.

Alas, I am unable to produce an heir. 3 daughters…... This is the kind of stuff that I miss out on. I wouldn’t have it any other way, but I can’t help wishing I had a son around to share hobbies with. My hope lies in a grandson someday. :)
