This is what I call a perfect project for just the right place. After completion of the remodeling of our family room, I needed something to fill the space just inside the French doors leading into the room from our deck.
This wall mounted hallway mirror was just the perfect size and overall appearance that we were looking for. As with all of my projects, I’m not going to bore you with the details of the build process here on LJ. If you are interested in that however, you can find the article on my website at: http://www.oldaveswoodshop.com/Hallway%20Mirror.php
Here is a picture of the finished mirror hanging on the wall in that ” special place”.

David, this is a good looking mirror that compliments the room’s trim well. The mirror has a nice design and proportion to it that fits well into the space that you had available.

Great job Dave. What finish did you use and I would be interested to see a closer view of the detail on the header at the top. Looks great.

Great Mirror Dave…I built the same one from the March 2010 Woodworking magazine. I chose Red Oak as well…and for the same reason!
Here is a link for my version: Hall Mirror
This was a great project…will put a blog up here shortly with construction information.
