Project Information
Another candle holder that I've been making pretty frequently. People just about fall over themselves trying to get one and it takes a couple hours to churn out 3 or 4 of them.
This one is a bit more involved: pretty heavily curly maple, walnut strip in the middle. 9 3/4" long, ~4" wide. The holes are 1 1/2" in diameter (tea light sized). Very small chamfer around the top. Finished with danish oil and paste wax. Didn't really notice much of a difference with the wax, but it sure looks better than satin poly.
After sanding, this thing felt like a million bucks. 400 grit plus the cool weight of maple just felt right.
I've got the materials for 3 more of these that I'll probably do in parallel the next time my schedule frees up.
