Yesterday I was playing around in the shop and wanted to create something quick and simple.. I have been having some clock inserts sitting on my shelf for a while and decided that now was a good time to use them.

This was fun because I always seem to get involved in more time consuming projects and it was nice to do something I could do in a little over an hour each. The Bloodwood clock took a bit longer since I had to laminate the maple strips into the bloodwood.

Simple… maybe but cool just the same. Neat clocks.

Ahh bloodwood is one of my favorite woods for carving, I love the scent it has and the color is amazing. LOL I once while sanding some bloodwood wiped my face, forgot, and went to the store and I freaked out an old woman who thought I was actually bleeding. The clocks are great, but I think the bloodwood wins.

Great idea for a quick project, thanks
