I made this little mahogany table as an experiment trying to mix some sculptural work with a regular round table top. I have some mixed feelings about the results but as it is just staying in my house I can let it grow on me a little. The top is sapele veneer banded with black dyed veneer and cerejeira. Thanks for looking.

The table looks fantastic. the underside looks like there is more going on then shown. Nice job.

Paul that is just beautiful.
I particularly like the way you did the veneer matches on the top, with the double inverted vees for want of a better description.
I understand that when you do something, like this tables’ legs, that’s unusual and creative, you have no “standard” to compare it to and it’s hard to see it as a detached observer for a few weeks (for me anyway) and you never know if you actually like it. Let me help you out , as a detached observer, ... IT”S GREAT, YOU WILL LOVE IT.

I love those legs! My first instinct is that it would try to scamper away when my back was turned…

Wow! this is really beautiful Paul. Love the veneer work and the wood pairing. Your work has a beauty and uniqueness all it’s own. This piece is something to be proud of.
