Today has been a wonderful day. The sun is shinning the birds are singing and I was woke with puppy kisses.
I’ve just finished a large project using square boards and keeping the whole thing square.
Still it was finished and I’m way behind with orders.
So I looked out some burl Oak for the Puja Table tops and was about to begin.
Then I went past the woodpile and spied an offcut from a gate project.
Nothing to look at yet so much character in it.
So that got me thinking.

HookieI deserve a day off.

So with no square or tape measure and the urge to make something tactile.

So 8 1/2 hours later and I’m covered in dust and oil. This is the result.

It is just a bit o fun, but I think it tidies up the woodpile a wee bit.

Yours
jamie

Looks more like a milking stool we used back on the farm growing up! It does look very nice!

Elegant and simple. Beautiful. Great figure on that seat, too.

If only puppy saliva would substitute for shaving ….. ;-)

Nice Jamie.

There are always jems in a wood pile. it takes a trained eye to find them.

good work.

Dr. Ken:

Be very careful about your wording. A really weird picture jumped RIGHT to MY mind. Hopefully, Jamie isn’t as deranged and twisted as I am …. ;-)

Nice wood pile find. Not even going to ask how the antlers ended up in your wood pile ;)

Good to have you back posting.

Bet that puppy has a downright slobbery kiss, with love and friendship with every lick. Great.

Inching my way to vacation…....few hours of work in the morning and then off on a jet plane….......in the afternoon. Tired of this rat race.

Actually, I am going to set up a small shop in our vacation house down in La Conner, Washington. Old town by west coast standards, with lots of maintained old victorian homes. Only 800 people. Other than DIYer tools, I though I would put in enough to do some trim replacement, make a few small doodads for around the house, and perhaps a setup for carving, that I would like to explore. Just DIYer tools this trip.

Well, gotta get a few things ready….......

Later…........

Jim
