Project Information

This is a planter box that the gal wanted for some veggies and herbs. It is made out of 3/4 Burch (i think) plywood and some boards that i had laying around to line the outside with for a little flair. The box is about 4 ft by 2 ft with a board that sits about 9 in below the top of the box to place the dirt on. It also has a PVC pipe that is there for a drain. The whole inside is lined with plastic for a water proof seal. The whole thing is stained with a deck stain to keep it water resistant. The whole box is also sitting up on a few 2×4s to keep the bottom dry. It was a quick and easy little weekend project that she just loves! Enjoy.

wonderful.
I loved raised garden boxes. So much easier on the back and so easy to access when they are on the dec.

(FYI: We have a fun challenge taking place at GardenTenders right now - you can post a project showing the garden markers you have made and your name goes into a draw for a gardening book. Deadline is April 30/2011.)
