This is an entertainment center that was completed in December 2007. It was designed to look like a hutch style cabinet. The flat panel television is located behind the doors in the upper section. The television is mounted directly to the wall.

It was built mostly from popular and birch. The doors are the one piece doors as described in my earlier project Custom White Entertainment Center. The countertop is pine stained a custom Red Mahogany color. In all this project has three colors. The main section is green, the backs are beige, and the stained pine top.

Well done, Chris. In certain decors this is a great answer for where to put the idiot box. I would use this idea for our own but we don’t have a wall big enough to fit it on. Well we do, but that’s not where Carleen wants the TV.

Very nice! Is that a wide belt sander I see in the background?

That is a very attractive piece of furniture. I really like the color scheme too.

Gary,
Yes that is a wide belt sander. That is one of those items that once you get you don’t know how you ever got by without it. I try to buy a large item every two years at the IWF show in Atlanta. I plan on going their this August.

Nice cabinetry. I like having the TV hidden away except when in use. (I’ll do that when I convince The Boss we NEED a flat panel.)

Chris, this is an excellent example of casework. As with all of your projects, the attention to detail really comes through in the final project.
