Built this Navy Ship’s Wheel shadowbox for a retiring Chief Petty Officer I work with. The wood is African Padauk with Ash pegs.
I can’t take credit for the design however, I based it on this one: Ship's Wheel Shadowbox

Man this is nice, I was an E-5 when I got out back in 89. Almost makes me wish I would stayed in. Great job!

Jason, nice work; do you only do work for those you know? I am retiring in July and would like a copy of your version if you are able to complete or the dimensions so I could have it made here in San Diego; thanks. Tim

Jason,
Absolutely beautiful work. Your effort looks much nicer than the commercial product. Keep up the good work!

Jason,
There is absolutely no better Ships Wheel Shadowbox on the market right now. You should Patent and sell this. I retire next month and would definately like one if you are still making them. Or know of someone who would make me one of the same style or similar. The only thing that I would like to see is bored holes for coins on the outer ring. But even as it is, this is absolutely perfect!

I’m trying to make a shadow box similar to this one for my husband, and I have an idea of how to go about it, but it would be very helpful if you could give me a heads up to any plans that I might be able to find on the internet or from you. Great job by the way, it’s very inspiring!
Thanks!

After 22 years of naval service, I would be very interested in one of your sea chest designs. Can you point me in the right direction. Retiring in 9 months.

This is outstanding and is beautifully done.

Wow, looks great. I am retiring after 30 years and 10 months and was wondering if you could make one for me? I like your added wood flag triangle that sets off the wheel tremendously from the one you used as an example. As yet I have not completed 5 posts so can not send you a message and don’t feel comfortable posting my email address for all the world to see, can you contact me and possibly give me an email or phone number so we can discuss if it is possible. Thanks!!
