This is my first end grain cutting board. My plan was to make something for all my brothers and sisters and parents to have something that would remind them of me when I’m gone. After seeing a video of the wood whisperer make this cutting board I knew this project would be fitting. A cutting board would last a long time and and be used almost every day. This board went to my beautiful sister (sorry for the picture quality, I forgot to take a picture, this was emailed to me). I made it from yellowheart and walnut. It is 12” x 18” x 1-5/8.

It looks good for a first time end grain.
I’m planning on making my first cutting board in the next couple of weeks.
