This is the last Rose for today. You may have noticed I’ve been on a Rose binge today.
I’m not sure of the exact species. It was marked (Spruce-pine-fir) at the store. It may be Lodgepole Pine.
Size: 6” X 8”

I’ve enjoyed the bouquet of roses that you have presented to us.
Which wood do you recommend that a beginner-beginner (with no instructor around) to start with??

Debbie.
Either Basswood, White Pine, or Ponderosa pine. If you use Pine look for quarter sawn with close grain.

thank you Dick, and thanks to the WoodWhisperer I even know what quarter sawn wood means!!
As soon as I get somewhere to buy some wood, I might actually try my hand at a flower..
