This is a three drawer bandsaw box made from honduras mahogany. I bought a 2” by 10 foot piece of mahogany at Condon Lumber in North White Plains, NY. Great place for wood. I had them cut it into 12” boards. Now I can laminate 2 boards and have a perfect blank for a lot of my bandsaw projects. I did the same with a cherry board. I figure that I use about $12 worth of wood for each project. The mahogany cuts well but leaves a lot of stringy residue. It sands easily. The Cherry cuts much more neatly and crisply.
