This was my first bandsaw box on my new Rikon 14” Bandsaw. I used inexpensive poplar which I laminated to get a 6” by 12” solid piece of wood. The next attempt will be with mahogany and cherry.

I used an 1/8” Carter blade. It took me some time to adjust the Rikon. All of the other blades would dull within a few cuts. The carter accuright blades are much better. I snapped the blade yesteday but I have been using it for more than a month with some pretty dense wood.

Nice work! How do you like the Rikon so far? I have one as well. Still trying to get the fence dialed in properly for re-sawing.

Once I got it tuned up it has been great but it took me a few weeks and about 4 blades to get it working properly. I have not been doing much resawing yet. The blades seem to make all the difference. I have heard the Highland Woodworking timberwolf blades are great for resawing.

Nice Box, very intriguing design, and looks to have tight fits for the drawers, thanks for the info on the re-saw blades, good job
