Square boxes of mdf put together using dowels.
It’s a rather simple and quik result project.
Made this one a few years ago for someone. But it ended up in my home.
It’s mounted to the wall in the center box ,also with dowels.
Painted it with Some white-wash paint.
And it’s got 2 Led lights.

Nice cabinet. Lights are cool. How are you hanging it to the wall? Did you dowel the corners of the boxes?
Here’s a drawing of a jig I’ve used in the past to join miter cuts making boxes. I use the drill press, then cutout for the box corner to make the jig. After inserting dowel then trim with pull saw and sand.

oh nice one Darrel, i never used it like that thanks! i just always screw it and or glue the angles.

this is such a cool design! definitely looks like lot of planning! I like the 3D aspect of it!

That is really neat looking. It doesn’t even look like MDF. Looks like it would be heavy.

Nice work! I think they’d be ideal for kids’ rooms, so they’d free up floor space and they can rearrange the contents whenever they please . . . very versatile and functional!
