This is a large frame (38” sq), so I wanted it to be strong. It actually took a nasty fall that caused the corners to slightly separate but it stayed together. The finish is oil and wax.

I like how you use the strengthening pieces as an accent instead of hiding them in the back or side.

Looks like you gave me a weekend project. My wife has been bugging me a make a nice frame for a Matise that we got in Jamaica.
