This morning I was able to get the wood out from “Brutus” and see what I could come up with turning more candle sticks. This is from the same wood design but turned in differant ways. I also wanted the shapes to work together and it worked! I am so excited how they turned out and geesh this is SO much fun. “Brutus” is going to be getting a good work out. This was done in black walnut and oak. I just love the 2 woods together. I had Darryl cut me alot of wood to play with more designs. Can’t wait. Thanks for looking. Also Dick, I never drilled the holes in that one candle stick. Something I haven’t done since I started getting into the turning! LOL I will. Promise.

Very nice. I like the contrast.

The symmetry is excellent, too. Good workmanship all the way.

I like your design and the way the segments came together. Did you use Titebond II glue?

Yes that’s all I ever use is the Titebond II glue. Great glue. You’d tear the wood before having the glued sections come apart.

The great part about it is that I get to use up the little pieces I’ve saved. I’d like to try using the bees wax on them just to see how it would turn out. I would rather spend time turning them waiting for the finish to dry.

That’s neat, krum.
