This simple build made cutting firewood easy. Earlier this year, a neighbor down the road had cut some pine trees and put it all at the road to be picked up. So I helped myself to a little of the smaller pieces. For some unknown reason, this neighbor neglected to cut the wood in to small grate size pieces. So today I decided the limbs had laid in my yard long enough and it was time to cut them into usable pieces and stack them into my firewood stand. However, being the type of guy that prefers to take care of his tools, the idea of cutting the limbs on the ground while drudging the chainsaw into the sand was a tad abrasive to me. So with that, I set out to build this handy dandy Firewood Brace. It worked great and while I did not have lot of limbs to cut, I was done in 10 mins! PLUS!!! the brace kept the limbs from move and never once bound the chain. Zip! Zip! Zip! – DONE!
BTW – the temperature today April 11, 2011 in Melbourne, Fl was 93 degrees… what was I thinking?
