My wife wanted a fun spoon in the kitchen to stir he soups and chili with.

I got the paper and pencil and ruler out and went to work at once. After a long hour at the drawing board I came up with a compound cut design wooden spoon to do on my scroll saw. It was a tough cut with the hard blood wood. My wife has used it many times this year and so have I . We even use it to make no bake chocolate cookies and that puts some strain on the spoon as thick and stiff as the batter is while adding oatmeal. We have run it through the dishwasher lots of times already and it is holding up strong. I put my house phone by it so you can get the size down. If any one is in trusted in this spoon I can make more. Thanks for looking at my spoon every one Jeff M.

By the way I have a older spoon made of pine board next to the new blood wood one, same design and it has held up strong for me and my wife for a while now. Jeff M.

Hi Jeff. The spoons look nice. I like the wave feature. I’m surprised the pine one is holding up so well for you. We tend to rapidly destroy most wooden utensils around here because we are too lazy to clean them any other way than the dishwasher!
