most recent project a simple rustic cherry, gey elm and walnut bathroom bench

the first picture is a picture of the lake recoverd grey elm that i had sawed on a band mill cost me alittle money when the sawyer hit a few nails but hey we tried to get all the nails the top has 2 coats of a boiled linceed oil finish with 1 coat of a classic pecan stain and then 4 coats of gloss polly

the second picture is of the finished peice i again used boiled linceed oil with 2 coats to treat the cherry and crotch black walnut sanded with a 320 sanding block in between each coat and then 4 coats of gloss poly

note this project was made with all sawmill cutoffs except the top came from a grey elm recoverd log

Nice job. Simple, but nice. I really like the use of recovered wood.
